Clover Adds Tabs to Your Windows Folder

It would be very helpful if we could open multiple tabs on a Windows Explorer folder especially in times where we need to work with multiple folders at the same time. Because at many times, it is very annoying to work with multiple windows opened at the same time. Now a new tool named Clover helps to create multiple windows on a Windows Explorer folder at the same time. Clover will open multiple tabs on the same window just like Google Chrome or Fire Fox web browsers. Clover brings this feature as an add-on for Windows rather than a replacement. Clover also allows users to add bookmark folders.

Tab Page Shortcuts: One can open a new page in the window with the key combo Ctrl+T and Ctrl+W to close the page and Ctrl+Tab to navigate between pages. It will increase the easiness in working as one can do all these operations with the keyboard and not using mouse. This in turn will increase the work efficiency as well.

Microsoft Launches Guardian Safety App in India


Microsoft has launched a new safety application to the Windows phone users in India called ‘Guardian’. Guardian app brings up the features similar to the ‘Track my iPhone’ and Android ‘Device Manager’ to Windows phone users and in addition this application helps your loved ones to track you in case of any emergency. For tracking purpose the Guardian uses Windows Azure cloud platform and the Bing Maps API. There is also provided with an in built SOS button to make a call for help in emergency. Microsoft says this SOS call can be connected to police agencies or hospitals.

Acer Launched Iconia W4 Windows 8.1 Tablet

Acer has launched a new Windows 8.1 based tablet in Indian market. The Iconia W4 is a successor of the W3 tablet which is the world’s first Windows based tablet. When comes to W4 Acer has made a lot of upgrades in the hardware from the previous one. The Iconia W4 tablet features a 8 inch IPS display which gives a picture resolution of 1280X800 pixels and it supports a wide viewing angle of 170 degrees. The W4 tablet is mounted with a Bay Trail Intel Atom 1.8GHz quad core processor which Acer claims to give better performance and saves power to give long battery backup.

Gionee Launched Elife E7 Smartphone in India

Gionee will launch the flagship smartphone Elife E7 in India today on 24th December. It is expected that the phone will be available by next month for purchase across the country. In India Elife E7 will compete with Smasung’s Galaxy Grand 2. The Elife E7 features a large 5.5 inch full HD display with a pixel density of 401 ppi. It gives a picture resolution of 1920X1080 pixels. The device comes with two processor options, the 4G version has a processor type of 2.5 GHz quad core Snapdragon 800 processor while the 3G version is powered by a 2.2 GHz Snapdragon 900 processor. RAM capacity is also varies with the onboard storage, the 16GB variant has 2GB RAM while the 32GB handset comes with 3GB RAM. All models has Adreno 330 GPU.

BlackBerry Launches BBM on LG Smartphones

BlackBerry Mobiles has planning to introduce their popular message service platform BlackBerry Messenger (BBM) on LG smartphones. Soon LG smartphone users can enjoy the BBM services which comes as preinstalled with LG handsets. Most probably the LG Pro Lite will be the first LG device which comes with BBM service of its own kind. Recently BlackBerry has extended the BBM service to Android and iPhone users. The BBM service is much popular in the regions like Middle East, Africa and Indonesia and people are using it to engage in the social media networks.

Andrew Bocking who is the executive vice president of BBM told “We're extremely pleased that LG Electronics will help bring their customers a more seamless experience with BBM by pre-loading the app, starting with the G Pro Lite in key markets." BlackBerry Mobiles has also entered into contracts with Indian companies like Micromax, Spice, Zen and Celkon to offer BBM service to the users.

Suzuki Launching GW250 Inazuma in India

Suzuki Motorcycle India Ltd announces that they have plans to launch a new model in the 250CC power bike segment in India. Suzuki will bring the GW250 (Inazuma 250) most probably in the first quarter of 2014 in order to reap the good results of the growing power bike segment of the Indian motorcycle market. Atul Gupta, executive vice-president, SMIL told “we are going to launch the 250cc motorcycle next month (January 2014) and new products to expand our current portfolio in the upcoming Auto Expo 2014. We are equally focussing on the scooters and the motorcycles.”

Nokia Launched Asha 502 in India for Rs. 5,739

Nokia has launched a new medium ranged feature phone in the Asha series in India. The Asha 502 is available at a price of Rs. 5,739 from the Nokia online store. The Asha 502 is based on Nokia Asha platform 1.1 and supports firmware over-the-air (FOTA) update. The new handset comes in a candy bar style design with a comfortable polycarbonate body.

The new Nokia Asha 502 features a 3 inch LCD display (QVGA) which gives a picture resolution of 240X320 pixels. The Asha 502 is a dual SIM (GSM+GSM) handset with dual standby feature. SIM card support for Asha 502 is micro SIM only and it does not supports regular SIM cards. This new handset comes with a RAM of 64MB and it supports external memory cards up to 32 GB. Micromax has launched a new version of Smartphone in the Canvas series. The Canvas 2.2 A114 features a 5 inch capacitive multi touch screen with IPS display and gives a picture resolution of 960X540 pixels. Kobo Launches Arc Tablet for an Offer Price of Rs. 9,999

Kobo has entered into the tablet market by launching a budget level product. The Kobo Arc was launched internationally in last year but the product was introduced in the Indian market in October 2013. Fiat Launching New Sedan Model Viaggio in India

Italian auto maker Fiat is planning to launch their famous sedan Viaggio in India. Fiat sets their plans to launch the vehicle on Indian roads in the beginning of 2014. Now there are two models available in  Fiat’s fleet in India are the Linea and Grande Punto. With a competing price tag of Rs. 8 to 15 lakh Viaggio is expected to mark a challenge against Toyota Corolla Altis and Chevrolet Cruz.

Specification Set of Fiat Viaggio: The Indian class of Fiat Viaggio will bear a 4 cylinder 1.4 litre Turbocharged T Jet engine which will output 1368 CC of power. This engine consists of 16valve powertrain which delivers 120 bhp and a maximum torque of 206 Nm. There are also chances for getting another variant of more  powerful engines like 1.6 litre or 1.8 litre in India, but Fiat has not finalized about it. It will be associated with a six speed double clutch quick drying transmission unit. The main attraction of T jet powertrain is it is designed specially to avoid loss of power during gear shifting and the result will be a powerful car which is easy to handle in all terrains. The front system of Fiat Viaggio is fully enabled with McPherson and is independent also and the rear beam torsion is semi independent and both these systems are combined together to deliver smooth driving experience. Fiat claims that the car will give an average mileage of 12 to 14 KM/L in city riding and 14 KM/L if it is on the highway.

Microsoft's 'Telepathwords' can Tell Your Password's Safety

Microsoft, the renowned US software company, has recently introduced an internet tool namely ‘Telepathwords’, which helps to protect your password by selecting  a better one in the future. This tool predicts the next character of your password by considering the common passwords, like those made public owing to security breaks, common password selection behaviours and common phrases. The tool 'Telepathwords' works on a simple principle i.e. you simply have to type your favourite password in the text box and it tries to predict the next character of the password. The project manager said that in order to predict the subsequent
character that you type, the tool sends the typed character to enquire our prediction engine. The prediction engine then makes use of the database of common passwords and phrase which is very big enough to be send off to your computer. He also added that this new tool also sends and registers your mouse movement and the instance when the character was included or eliminated from your password so as to assess the outcome of Telepathwords on your behaviour. 

Microsoft commented about the project “This log does not contain the actual characters you type, but it does indicate whether each character was among those predicted by Telepathwords". The new system analyses that how users are creating their passwords and what criteria being followed in coining them and build out a log file on each users password for the past periods and brings up suggestions to help them in choosing better passwords in the future.

Nokia Launches WhatsApp Service to Asha Mobile Phones

Nokia announced through a press release that the popular instant messaging application WhatsApp is now available in all Asha mobile phones. Nokia starts to cater WhatsApp in their Asha platform starting with the Asha 501 series. Nokia further added that they have rolled out a software update for all Asha 501 users which allows users to download instant messaging application (IM) on their mobile handsets and then one can enjoy the WhatsApp services. All other Asha series handsets which runs on the older platform still supports WhatsApp services. Nokia offers a new one touch social sharing and a more intuitive home screen with the new software update.

BSNL Launched A New Tablet PentaSmart PS650 for Rs. 7,999

BSNL with the association of Pantel has unveiled a new medium ranged tablet in the Indian market. With the launching of PentaSmart PS650, BSNL aims to extend the internet access among the users even in rural areas of the country. The BSNL PentaSmart PS650 features a 6.5 inch display with a picture resolution of 800X480 pixels and powered by a 1.2GHz dual core cortex A7 processor and also equipped with a Mali 400 GPU. The Pentasmart PS650 runs on Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean operating system.
