Xolo Launches World's Lightest Smartphone Win Q900 for Rs. 9,999

After Micromax, Xolo has now announced the launch of its first Windows Phone-based smartphone in India. Named the Xolo Win Q900s, the phone is claimed to be the world's lightest smartphone that weighs merely 100 grams.

The phone is exclusively available on the e-commerce site Snapdeal.com at Rs 9,999. Users can pre-book the device starting Saturday, but it will be released in the second of July.

Flipkart Launches It's First Tablet Digiflip Pro XT 712


Foraying into the tablet PC market, Flipkart has launched its first tablet under its brand, Digiflip Pro, in India. Priced at Rs 9,999, the Digiflip Pro XT712 tablet has a 7-inch (1280X800) IPS display, 5 megapixel rear camera with flash and a 2 megapixel front camera. Available in black and white colours, the Digiflip Pro tablet is powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core Cortex A7 processor along with 1GB of RAM.

Nokia X2 Dual SIM Becomes Viral

For many tech pundits who believed that the Nokia X smartphone range was dead after Microsoft's completed acquisition of Nokia's devices and services business, the Redmond giant has a surprise - the launch of the Nokia X2, the successor to the popular Nokia X.

The Nokia X2 will be available at EUR 99 (roughly Rs. 8,100) without taxes and subsidies. The company on its official Conversations blog has revealed that the Nokia X2 will be available immediately in select countries globally; however it has not listed the markets.

The new Nokia X series phone will be available in Glossy Black, Green, Orange, Dark Grey, White and Yellow. The Nokia X2 now sports a translucent outer layer, reminiscent to the ones seen on Nokia's Asha range of handsets.

Tata Zest, New Sedan on Indian Roads

The Tata Zest compact sedan is the second car in the Pune based automaker from its new generation of vehicles. First shown just ahead of the Auto Expo, the Zest is a CS version of the Bolt hatchback.
It features a very similar design to that of the hatchback but includes a noticeable but quite decent looking boot. It makes use of the same engine, underpinnings, interior design as well as feature list from the hatchback.

Tata Zest Front View: The Tata Zest follows the same principle in terms with the Bolt hatchback in terms of design and overall appearance. The side profile remains the same up to the C-Pillar but thanks to the boot has a different appearance. At the back the lights have a similar design to that of the hatchback with a stubby boot lid.

Ford India Launched New Fiesta 2014 in India

Ford India today launched the new version of its mid-sized sedan Fiesta, priced up to Rs 9.29 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). The 2014 Ford Fiesta will be available in three options - Ambiente, Trend and Titanium - all powered by 1.5 litre diesel engine, the company said in a statement.

The Ambiente will be available at Rs 7.69 lakh, while the Trend comes at Rs 8.56 lakh and the top-of-the-line Titanium is tagged at Rs 9.29 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi).

Samsung Launches New Galaxy Tab S - 10.5 and 8.4 inches

Samsung has unveiled its new flagship tablet - the Samsung Galaxy Tab S - that is also the Korean company's thinnest and lightest tablet to date. The Galaxy Tab S comes in two sizes: 8.4 inch and 10.5 inch.
Both the variants feature a WQXGA (2560x1600, 16:10) Super AMOLED display (with a 100,000:1 contrast ratio) and are 6.6mm thin. The 10.5-inch model weighs and the 8.4-inch 465g.
Samsung has also partnered with 30 mobile content and service providers for customised offerings for the Tab S, including Marvel and Amazon.


Canvas Win W121: First Indian Windows Phone from Micromax

Micromax Canvas Win W121 is one of the two Windows Phone devices launched in India by the company, the first domestic smartphone manufacturer to do so. The Canvas Win W121 is priced at INR 9,500 ($160) and will be available in the market starting early July 2014.

The budget smartphone aims to compete with the Nokia Lumia 520 and Lumia 525, as well as the latestLumia 630, the only other Windows Phone 8.1 device in the market. I spent some time with the device at the launch event, and here are my first impressions of the phone.
