Samsung Launches Galaxy S Duos 2 for Rs. 10,999

World’s leading smartphone manufacturer Samsung Electronics has listed a new Android smartphone Galaxy S Duos 2 which is an updated edition of Galaxy S Duos on its Indian Online Store for a price of Rs. 10,999. The S Duos 2 features a 4 inch TFT display which gives a screen resolution of 480X800 pixels and is powered by a 1.2 GHz dual core processor. It comes with 768MB RAM and 4GB internal storage capacity which can be further expandable up to 64GB with the help of microSD cards. The Galaxy S Duos 2 runs on Android 4.2 Jelly Bean and as the name indicates it is a dual SIM (GSM+GSM) model. The device comes with dual camera system; the main rear camera is a 5MP one with LED flash while the front facing is a VGA camera.

The connectivity options of the new device includes 3G, WiFi GPRS and Bluetooth. It also features with A GPS. The S Duos 2 is packed with 1500mAh battery which Samsung claims to give 8 hours of talk time and a standby time of 280 hours. Samsung offers the S Duos 2 in white and black colours.

Review of Added Features of Honda City 2014

Honda Motors has almost set to unveil the fourth generation of popular car model “City”. Honda renovated and upgraded this popular car model in a regular interval of six years from the initial launching at 1996. After going through the upgraded models in year 1996, 2002 and 2008, Honda will unveil their revamped City in January 2014.

Honda will launch the City 2014 in both petrol and diesel versions. Honda offers, both the variants will perform ARAI fuel economy standards. In the petrol class there is no difference in power from the previous version’s engine and Honda claims that one can experience an improved performance with it. Further the engine friction is also reduced with the help of low tension oil seals and the piston pattern has also changed to a zigzag level. With all these improvements the new City will deliver better power and torque. The diesel variant of Honda City will comes with a five speed manual gear unit while the petrol class will have both manual and automatic (CVT) transmission. In both kinds of vehicles the clutch holding is reduced to its maximum level to make it suitable for city rides.

Micromax Launched Canvas HD A116i with Quad Core Processor

India’s largest indigenous mobile maker Micromax has launched a new HD Android smartphone without making much noise. The Canvas HD A116i is a successor to their very popular handset model Canvas HD smartphone.

The Canvas HD A116i features a 5 inch display which gives a screen resolution of 720X1280 pixels and delivers a pixel density of 294ppi. It is powered by a MediaTek MT6589 quad core processor with a clockspeed of 1.2GHz associated with a PowerVR SGX544 GPU. It is coupled with 1GB RAM and has an internal storage capacity of 4GB and supports external memory cards up to 32GB.

Samsung Launched Galaxy Grand 2 with 5.25-Inch Display

Korean electronics giant Samsung has launched an updated version of its popular smartphone Galaxy Grand. The Galaxy Grand 2 is a dual SIM (GSM+GSM) phablet and it features 5.25 inch wide display which gives a picture resolution of 16:9 HD ratios. The Galaxy Grand 2 is powered by a 1.2GHz quad core processor and is accompanied with 1.5GB RAM. It comes with 8GB of internal storage capacity which can be further expandable up to 64GB with external memory cards.

The smart phablet sports an 8MP rear camera with LED flashlight and also has a 1.9MP front facing camera for 3G services. It runs on Android 4.3 Jelly Bean operating system. Samsung introduces Multi Window feature in Galaxy Grand 2 which allows the next level of multitasking by taking advantages of its large display and user can launch one application in two windows at the same time.

Acer Offers C720 Chromebook for $199

Acer has launched a new notebook computer in Indian markets called Acer C720 Chromebook. It is an 11.6 inch notebook which uses Chrome OS as its operating system. The Acer C720 Chromebook features an 11.6 inch wide display which gives a resolution of 1366X768 pixels and a brightness level of 220 nits. The display is made with anti glare screen which also provides better level of colour, brightness and contrast for videos and images.

The Acer C720 Chromebook comes with 16GB internal storage of which almost 10GB will be available for user data. It is powered by Intel Celeron 2955U 1.4GHz dual core processor based on Intel Haswell architecture. It is paired with a 2GB RAM. The Acer C720 Chromebook runs on Google’s Chrome OS based on Linux. The Acer Chromebook also comes with a webcam of 720 pixels which is fixed on the upper lid and gives better performance as well.

Karbon Launches Titanium S7 Full HD Android Smartphone for Rs. 14,999

Karbonn mobiles which is famous for budget level smartphones made their entry to full HD smartphone segment by announcing Titatnium S7 in the Indian mobile market. Even though the device is not yet officially launched in India, it is already listed in the online shopping portal Flipkart. Flipkart started accepting preorders for the product at a price of Rs. 14,999.

The Karbonn Titanium S7 features a 5inch full HD capacitive touch display with OGS technology and gives a screen resolution of 1080x1920 pixels. It is a dual SIM (GSM+GSM) handset. The Titanium S7 is powered by 1.5GHz quad core processor and runs on Android 4.2 Jelly Bean operating system. It comes with an internal storage of 16GB and also supports external memory cards up to 32GB.

Flipkart Offers HTC One Max 5.9" Display Smartphone for Rs. 54,500

HTC has announced their latest phablet HTC One Max will be available in Indian markets by the first quarter of 2014. It is an enlarged edition of HTC One tablet with 5.9 inch HD display and is offered at a discounted price of Rs. 56,490 while the original price is Rs. 61,490. The online shopping portal Flipkart offers the device at a price of Rs. 54,500.

The HTC One Max is a single SIM phablet which features a 5.9 inch wide full HD display which gives a resolution of 1080 pixels. It is powered by 1.7GHz quad core Qualcomm snapdragon 600 processor. It comes with a RAM of 2GB and for internal memory there are two variants available, 16GB and 32GB and can be expandable up to 64GB with the help of an external memory card. The HTC One Max runs on Android4.1 operating system and also powered with HTC Sense.

BMW will Launch New MINI in India by 2014 End

BMW has unveiled a new mini version of its 2014 hatchback. BMW has unveiled this third generation of the iconic ‘small car’ at the Cowley plant in Oxford, UK. While seeing the dimensions the mini is not a small car but is bigger than any of its kind. It is 98mm longer than the previous model, 44mm wider and 7mm taller. The wheelbase is also expanded by 28mm. Boot space has increased from 160 litres to 211 litres. The 2014 mini is powered with UKL1 which is BMW’s new front wheel drive platform technology. Wheel size at the front is wider by 42mm and 34mm at the rear.

BMW integrates LED headlamps for both dipped and main beam options. BMW also introduce some additional features to the instrument cluster. It also has a 4 line TFT display as standard or optional colour screen up to 8.8 inches which helps the driver to know about vehicle functions, general information, navigation and MINI connected services.

Intex To Launch Octa Core Smartphone with 13MP Camera

The upcoming indigenous mobile brand in India, Intex has announced their first octa core smartphone. By adding this new generation smartphone to their product portfolio, Intex is aiming to increase their presence in the high end smartphone segment. The newly announced gadget will features a 6 inch HD IPS LCD display and will be powered by a MediaTek octa core chipset and a MediaTek MT6592 1.7 GHz octa core processor. The phone will have an internal memory 2GB of RAM and it will be available in two memory options, 16GB and 32GB. The phone runs on Android 4.2 Jelly Bean operating system.

This smartphone is a dual SIM (GSM+GSM) model and boasts dual camera, the primary rear camera is a 13MP one with LED flash and also it is fitted with a 5MP secondary camera at the front side to enable the unit for video calling functions. The phone also comes with a powerful battery and it will have a detachable design from the main unit. It will be a light weight model and having a thickness of 7mm only.

Mercedes Benz Launches 'Celebration Edition' of C Class

Mercedes Benz has launched a new model of its widely accepted sedan model ‘C Class’ in India. The ‘Celebration Edition’ of C Class is parked at showrooms bearing a price tag of Rs. 39.16 lakh. Mercedes Benz launched this model in India to tribute the brand’s most successful model C Class which was sold over 10 million units across global markets. 

The C Class is powered by the popular C 220 CDI which is a 4 cylinder diesel engine with 7G Tronic plus dual clutch automatic transmission. It is capable to deliver 170PS of power and a torque of 400Nm. The notable changes in the Celebration Edition are AMG kitting which contains modified bumpers, side skirts, smoked lamps and new alloy wheels. These changes brought the entire unit a facelift look and feel from the normal C Class and it highly resembles the design of C63. The ‘Edition C’ embossing on the front panel is also a new thing. The new alloy wheels have five spokes and 17 inches.

Divoom Launched Bluetune Bluetooth Speaker for PC and Smartphone


Divoom has launched a new Bluetooth speaker called Bluetune which is an ideal sound producer for laptops, desktop PCs and even for smartphones. The Bluetune speaker is small in size but is capable to provide good amount of power and ensures the delivering of sounds without losing the quality.

The Divoom Bluetune speaker system delivers six watts at peak time and it intakes three watts of power. DDR4 Memory will be Available by December 2013

Memory specialist website Crucial has listed DDR4 in their website with a diagram explaining how the various generations of memories are improvised in their architecture and in performance. According to the site the DDR4 is coming out late in 2013 and we can expect the faster memory will control the new computing world by the middle of December.

As very much expected, the DDR4 has a different architecture than its previous versions and it needs to have new motherboard to hold the new system. The Crucial site explains DDR4 memory technology as the future of computing by designing to empower the new generation of enterprise and consumer services. The DDR4 memory is build to double the density of space per module which helps to pack more performance and capability to the system. 

The new memory system is expected to use 20% less power than DDR3 and provides mainstream data rates that are almost doubles faster than the previous version. One can experience processing data fast as twice, launching programs faster, multitask environment will be more responsive and the performance will be increased, As per the words of Crucial, “ If you thought the tablets, ultrabooks, and desktops of today already seem fast — get ready to be blown away. ROCCAT Power Grid Tool to Control PC From Your Smartphone

ROCCAT Studios launched a new application called ROCCAT PowerGrid which allows one to control a personal computer remotely through a smartphone. This powerful tool allows one to check PC status, start programs, switch between programs, minimize or maximize windows, play music or videos, control volume and even can restart or close the system from the smartphone.

The ROCCAT Power Grid tool supports Windows PC with 7/8 operating system and it can be controlled by any smartphone device which using iOS or Android operating system. Inorder to work with the tool one should download and install two packages, the Windows host for the PC and the app which is for the iOS/Android device.

One should download the Windows host package from the PC and the downloading requires the user to create an account with ROCCAT which can be easily done by providing some personal credentials. After setting up the Windows host package the launcher will appear and one can access various control “grids” which are the collection of tools to control system status, social network accounts, control applications etc. The tool allows one to download grids which were created by others or to create new grids.

Microsoft Started Roll Out of New Internet Explorer 11 for Windows 7 Users

Microsoft has launched a new version of Internet Explorer 11 for the users of Windows 7 operating system. The latest version IE 11 is a part of the Windows 8.1 system upgrade which was rolled out last month. Mahindra Launched A Base Model of XUV500 W4


In a move to bag the results of recent boom in the SUV markets, Mahindra has launched a new entry level model of their popular SUV model XUV500. The XUV500 W4 will cost Rs. 10.83 lakh and is a successor model of the earlier version W6, W8 and W8 AWD. The W8 is an all wheel drive model while others have front wheel drive option. Even though the outward appearance of W4 does not make any change from the previous models, the company has removed a number of features to make it arrive to a lower price level. Mahindra has retained the projector headlamps laced with LEDs, the driver seat gets a six way adjustable options, tilt steering, music system with 4 speakers, remote control locking and twin HVAC in the new version also. Also Mahindra did not disturbed the safety features in the W8 to cut down the price; like twin airbags, ABS with EBD and disc brakes on all four wheels and LED parking lamps.

Samsung Launches Tablet for Kids

Lenovo Launched Two New Android Tablets in the Yoga Series

The Chinese computing systems maker Lenovo has yet another launched two new Android tablets in the Yoga series, the Yoga 8 inch and Yoga 10 inch. Both the devices have been marketed in US and Lenovo not yet revealed any hints about the availability of the devices in the global markets.

Apple Launched iPhone 5s and 5c in India

Apple has launched its popular new amartphones iPhone 5s and 5c in India. Apple presented these models at the Diwali time to reap the best results from the market in the festive season. Apple facing serious competition from other giant smartphone makers in the subcontinent markets like Samsung, Sony and Nokia. Apple thinks they can come back to the picture by the introduction of advanced smartphone models like 5s and 5c.

The Apple iPhone 5s features a 4 inch Retina display and comes with a fingerprint identity sensor built with the home button. New Android 4.4 KitKat, A Review of Features

Finally Google uncovered its much awaited Nexus 5 smartphone with the latest Android 4.4 KitKat across the global markets. Google developed this Nexus 5 version with the association of LG.
