XOLO Launches Q500 Android Smartphone for Rs. 7,999

Xolo Mobiles all set to expand its Q series of smartphones with a new quad core Android dual SIM smartphone. The Xolo Q500 handset falls under the medium range of smartphones where Xolo plays an important role in the subcontinent market. The Xolo Q500 features a 4 inch display which gives a picture resolution of 480X800 pixels and is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 200 quad core processor with a clock speed of 1.2GHz. It is also equipped with a Adreno 203 GPU. The Q500 runs on Android 4.1 Jelly Bean operating system. The device comes with 1GB RAM and 4GB onboard storage which can be further expanded up to 32GB with the help of a microSD card.

Xolo equipped the Q500 with a 5MP rear autofocus shooter with LED flash, it also has a VGA front camera. Connectivity options of the device include Bluetooth, WiFi and 3G. Xolo allows users of Q500 with a good deal of customizations with its new app called X-TransPic which allows one to take pictures of Hindi text and translates into English instantly. It can also read back the translated text. Xolo offers the X-TransPic app to all its smartphones which has a Snapdragon chipset.

The Xolo Q500 is packed with a 2600mAh battery which the company claims that is capable enough to deliver 17 hours of talk time and 520 hours of standby time. The Q500 is available at a price of Rs. 7,999 but Xolo has not yet announced the launching date of the device.
