Kobo has entered into
the tablet market by launching a budget level product. The Kobo Arc was
launched internationally in last year but the product was introduced in the
Indian market in October 2013. The Arc has a slim design and it features 7 inch
IPS LCD display which gives a picture resolution of 1280X800 pixels. It is
powered by 1.5 GHz TI OMAP 4470 processor and is paired with 1GB RAM. The
device comes in three memory options, 16GB, 32GB and 64GB and the device does
not supports external memory cards. The Kobo Arc runs on Android 4.1 Jelly Bean
operating system along with Tapestries User Interface. It boasts a 1.3 MP front
facing camera and also has dual stereo speakers with SRS TruMedia sound which
offers surround sound feature with good quality. By the specification wise Kobo
Arc is an ideal device for internet browsing or e-book reading and also for
gaming purposes. 
Along with the Android
operating system Kobo Arc is powered by Tapestries user interface which helps
users on content discovery. The Tapestries UI gives a eye candy appearance to
the device.
The device is packed
with a 4400mAh battery which Kobo claims an excellent battery backup. Even
though the original price of Arc tablet is Rs. 11,999 but Kobo offers Arc at an
introductory price of Rs. 9,999.
