DSK-Hyosung is
launching limited edition signature series GT250R bikes in India to celebrate
the first anniversary of Hyosung owners club Hy-Riders. Hyosung offers only 50
numbers of bikes in this limited edition series and one can book for one for
Rs. 2.97 lakh. This limited edition series vehicles bears the same engine
specifics and features of the original version but it comes with a hurricane
yellow paint, special graphics, branded merchandise and specially with
signature of the owner embossed on the vehicle.
The Hyosung GT250R has
a aesthetic and powerful design which gives a very aggressive looks at the
first sight. The front fascia got a muscular look with the help of fat
telescopic front forks wrapped around the mudguard and with the twin disc
plated braking system. The headlamp is aligned in a vertical manor which
consists of twin projector lamp at the center on the front cowl and it gives
the cowl an extra sharp edge. The front
cowl is also fixed with two rear view mirrors and a transparent visor which is positioned
at the top of the headlight.
Hyosung GT250R is
mounted with a 249CC, 75 degree, V-twin, DOHC engine which has 8 valves and
air/oil cooling and capabl enough to deliver a power output of 27.6 bhp at
10000 rpm. It also provide 22Nm of maximum torquewhich can be reached at 8000
rpm.The engine is controlled by a five speed manual gearbox and the gear system
is aligned as the first gear position is downwards and the restof four gears
are on upwards. The bike can attain a speed of 0-100 KM in mere 9 seconds. The
Hyosung GT250R engine is tuned in a fuel efficiency manner and it will give a
mileage of 20-22 Kmpl on city roads and about 25-27 Kmpl on highways. The
Hyosung GT250R’s brake system comes with twin discs of 300mm at the front tyre
with twin piston calipers and at the rear side it has a single 230mm disc.
Braking system of the vehicle gives rider the full access to control the bike
in all kinds of adverse situations.
In terms of safety the
Hyosung GT250R offers a good suspension technology which the company claims
that it will give world class security to riders at all times. It has a non
adjustable 41mm inverted telescopic forks at the front which helps to protect
the rider from the unwanted jerks and jolts and at the rear side, it is fitted
with a racing objected gas filled mono shock absorber. Both of these shock
absorbers deliver a safe riding experience to the passengers. Also the Hyosung
GT250R is fitted with a twin brake caliper set at the front side which protects
the vehicle at great speeds.
The Hyosung GT250R is
also available in regular versions with dual tone colour, black-red,
silver-redand white-red.
Hyosung also plans to
launch two new model bikes in India in next year. One is the Aquila 250 cruiser
and the other is popular GD250N model. Hyosung also thinks to introduce a 150CC
model in India to enjoy the benefits of highly rushed market segment of the
subcontinent.
