Samsung Launches Tablet for Kids

After introducing most sophisticated smartphones, tablets and accessories including Galaxy gear, Galaxy Round the curved display phone, Galaxy Tab 3 etc., now Samsung to launch a Kids version tablet for children. This new tablet is based on Samsung’s flagship carrier tablet Galaxy Tab 3 but when it transformed to the kids edition it gets more colourful and being like a miniature of the predecessor.
Samsung has designed this new gadget as a value added tool for the educational purpose. It is made more attractive with a new bright orange bumper which surrounds the device and helps to make it one piece even with the most enthusiastic pre-school user.

Even if it is treated as a kids play device, Samsung does not give any room for disappointment regarding the internal specifications as it features HD display and powered by a dual core processor. While thinking about a digital educational tool the most important considerations would be the apps and all round usability of the device. In that extent also Samsung keeps a lot of pre installed contents including educational apps and children friendly games. The installed operating system in the device is a kids friendly one and easy to navigate.

One can turn on this device to use like any other tablets and access the functions, by inputting a PIN number the tablet can be changed into ‘Normal’ mode.

Because of the tablet is meant for children it also has parental control setting and the internet access can be governed as can use time. Another safety measure which the Samsung has taken is, the tablet will automatically go for shut down after 90 minutes of gaming.


This new tablet will cost around Rs. 14,000 and Samsung announced that it will be available for sale in the US by November 10 and not yet sure about the availability in rest of the markets but expects that it will reach globally in the nearest future.
