Google Glass Gets Music Too

The search engine giant Google’s flagship product Google Glass has succeeded in attaining a significant popularity among the user groups even with the short span of time after unveiling. The younger generation around the world, who are the big fans of the device treats it as a smart glass and considered it as an useful accessory. Fuelling this trend Google adds some additional features to Glass to make it more attractive among folks. Google adds a voice command to Google Glass which allows users to hear their favorite music from Google Play Music and it gives all access to songs as well with Google’s spotify like streaming service. By saying “OK Glass, listen to” and then tell your favorite song name or artist, Glass will start to play the song which you want to hear. It also comes with the function ‘Shazam like’ which also helps you to identify songs.

The new edition of Google Glass features stereo ear buds which is available with the first Glass hardware update and also in a variety of colours to choose. Google also aims with this updated design to eliminate the aesthetic look of the previous version. In a recent Google Plus posting, the Google Glass team said to the fans “To all our Glass explorers, sit tight”. Market watchers observe this as a curtain raiser of the new version as it believes that Google is on beta testing the new product. The Google Glass team further denotes that “You will be able to dive into music on Glass soon. Look for an email in the next few weeks with more details”.

For the time being, Google Glass’s new music feature will only support the Google Play Music but is expected that it will supports apps developed by other third party companies once Google has released the official software development kit for Glass just like in the case of android platform.
