Now it is the time of
Maruti Suzuki to give a makeover to its base level model A-Star. It is a
premium small car of Maruti with a above price tag of others of its kind. After
the launching of this car in 2008, Maruti feels a declined sales which is still
below average. Maruti finds the major defect of this model which gets people
away from it is with the outlook of this model and Maruti trying to give
solution to this dislike in the new facelift of A-Star. Maruti marketing this
model in Europe and many other countries with the name Alto and it is the entry
level model in Europe. Keeping in mind the Western market, Maruti brings up
many premium features to this model.
In 2012 Maruti
presented at the Chengdu Motor Show in China an upgraded version of Global alto
and which will be available in the Indian market also with the name A-Star
facelift version. The quick visible changes in the new model from the old one is
the refreshed bumper and the new headlamp cluster. Front grills are also changed
with some tweaks to fog lamp console. Maruti gives a most aggressive look in
the new design to cross the barriers in the old version. The tail lamps gets a
LED belt and the entire backside is also reworked.
