Samsung Launched World's First Curved Display Phone, Galaxy Round

The short period of wait is over; Samsung electronics launched the latest version of Galaxy Note smartphone with the curved display. By launching the Galaxy Round, Samsung made a bit closer to the era of wearable devices with flexible screens. The new Galaxy Round features a 5.7 inch wide flexible Super AMOLED display capable enough to give 1080 pixel resolution. The display has a small horizontal curve and it is a low weight device. Users can experience better grip on the device than other flat screen models in the market. Galaxy Round has 7.9 mm thickness and it weighs only 154 g.

Samsung Galaxy Round controlled by a 2.3 GHz quad core processor and is associated with 3GB RAM. It will operate on Android 4.3 Jelly Bean and its internal memory can be extended upto 32GB with the help of an external memory card. Galaxy Round houses a 13 MP rear camera and is powered by a 2800 mAh battery. Samsung presents a new Roll Effect in Galaxy Round which helps users to check the information like date, time, call logs, battery status etc. One needs to ‘roll’ the phone towards a side even when the phone is in locked status, by tilting the handset to one end it will automatically lighting the screen. Gravity Effect helps for controlling the user interface by tilting the device and Bounce UX allows one to control the music by tilting the device left and right to change the tracks even the display is off.

Most disappointing thing about Samsung Galaxy Round is, Samsung now plans to release this smartphone in Korea only and Samsung does not revealed anything about its availability in rest of the world.
