In the last couple of quarters Xolo mobiles could emerged themselves as
a popular mobile company in the country. They could achieve this milestone by adding
a handful of new smartphone models to their product line up. Xolo mainly targeting
the low cost smartphones and tablet segment of the market. These products
quickly grab customer notice because they have all the features and
specifications which can even compete with big brands in the market and at a
lower price. Xolo brand is a joint venture by the popular gadget maker Lava and
processor maker Intel.
As a part of expanding customer base in the smartphone segment Xolo
launched a new tablet named Play Tab 7.0 in Indian market. The new tablet is
powered by Nvidia Tegra 3 processor. Xolo announced that the Play Tab 7.0 will
be available at a price of Rs. 13,999. The new tablet will have 7 inch IPS
display which provide 1280X800 pixel resolution and with a pixel density of
216ppi and it supports full HD video playback. Major attraction of Xolo Play
Tab 7.0 is the 1.2 GHz quad core Nvidia Tegra 3 processor which is the first
one of its kind. It is associated with 1GB RAM. The device comes with 8GB
internal memory which can be further extended with microSD card. The Play Tab
7.0 operates on Android 4.1 Jelly Bean. The new tablet features a 2MP front
facing camera for availing internet chat services but no rear camera is
available with it.
Xolo offers upto 8 hours of music playback with its powerful battery of
4000 mAh capacity. One can connect the Xolo Play Tab 7.0 to external devices
via Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and Micro USB. The device measures 194.6x122.6x10.6mm and
weighs 338 grams. The most disappointing thing about Xolo Play Tab 7.0 is it
does not support 3G activities.
Also Xolo plans to launch another tablet with the next generation Nvidia
Tegra processor. We can expect the new tablet with Tegra 4 processor in
November for a price of Rs. 12,999.
