Lenovo released a brand new tablet across the international market
which is powered by Intel processor. The Miix 2 comes as a low cost star in the
tablet market as it costs around $299 but offers full desktop version of
Windows 8.1. Earlier Lenovo announced that they will make latest generation of
processors and at less cost. The Miix 2 is an early response to that movement
and this may start a new beginning of low cost tablets era.
The Lenovo Miix 2 features a 8 inch wide IPS display and will give a resolution of 800x1280 pixels and has a viewing angle of 178 degree. Lenovo offers the tablet with optional stylus support also. The Miix 2 powered by Intel Bay Trail quad core processor and has an internal Storage of 128GB which can be further extended by 32GB through a microSD card. The device houses with twin cameras, the main rear camera is a 8MP one and the front camera possess 2MP capacity. Another feature of Lenovo Miix 2 is its light weight nature as it weighs less than 350g. The tablet is preinstalled with Microsoft Office Family and Student edition.
At the launching event of Miix 2, Bai Peng who is the Vice President
and General Manager of Lenovo Notebook Business Unit commented that the Miix 2
is the best option for users who wants to enjoy the convenience of a tablet
with smaller screen and also to have the performance and excellence of a
powerful quad core Windows 8.1 system.
