Chinese leading
communication equipment maker Huawei introduced a new smartphone in India. The
Ascend P6 comes to India with the description ‘wolrd’s slimmest smartphone’.
Huawei launched this device in June 2013 in rest of the global markets but now
only they have brought it to India. Huawei priced Ascend P6 Rs. 29,999 but it
is listed in some of the online shopping portals at a discounted price of Rs.
25,750. The device is also available with an optional dual SIM model.
Just like the description
it holds, The Huawei Ascend P6 measures a thickness of 6.2mm and it has a weight upto
120g. It features a 4.7 inch wide LCD display and gives a picture resolution of
720X1280 pixels. It is controlled by a Huawei’s own chipset, Huawei K3V2 quad
core processor which provides clock speed of 1.5 GHz. The Ascend P6 comes with
a 2GB RAM and has an internal storage of 8GB which can be further expanded upto
32GB with the help of a microSD card. The whole device functions on Android
4.2.2 Jelly Bean and also powered by Huawei Emotion UI 1.6 OS layer.
The device houses twin
camera system, the main rear camera has 8MP capacity with BSI sensor and one
can record HD videos of 1080p and the secondary front facing camera has 5MP facility.
The Huawei Ascend P6 is also packed with a 2000 mAh battery and the smartphone comes in three colours, Black, Pink and White.
Huawei introduced the
Ascend P6 in India as a part of extending their product line up in the
subcontinent. Back in September this year they have unveiled two phablets in
the country. The Ascend G610 and the ascend G700. Both the devices are
available through online portals like Infibeam.
