Nissan Presents Smartwatch to Connect Driver and Car


Nissan has commenced a smartwatch namely Nismo which has the capability to scrutinize the performance of both the driver and vehicle. The Nissan Nismo can trace the average speeds and fuel consumption of a car on top of determining the temperature, heart beat rate and other biometrics of the user. The Nismo smartwatch is available in three different colours, possess a battery power of about a week and it can be worked by two buttons on the screen.

As per the experts, this watch can lay an important pace towards greater connectivity in cars as connectivity is the new arena for car manufacturers. It can be linked to the on-board computer system of a car and thus can give information on vehicle performance. The wearers can also obtain personalized messages through the device.


Gareth Dunsmore, the marketing communications general manager at Nissan, Europe said that since the wearable technology has been growing at the fastest rate, Nissan wanted to take advantage of this pioneering technology. The editor-in-chief of What Car?, Chas Hallett, reported that watches connected to the car can prove more helpful than those provided by consumer electronics firm.
