Acer launched a new
entry level Android smartphone in Indian market. The Liquid Z5 is an Android
4.2 V smartphone with a sleek design and it has only 8.8mm thickness. The Acer
Liquid Z5 features a 5 inch wide display which outputs pictures with 16:9 aspect
ratio and it outputs a picture resolution of 854X480 pixels. The device is
powered by a dual core 1.3 GHz MediaTek processor which is paired with a 512 MB
RAM. It comes with 4GB onboard storage and supports micro SD cards for
expansion. The handset sports a 5MP primary camera with BSI sensor, autofocus
and LED flash. It is equipped with 5 lens array and IR sensor and capable to
capture better pictures even at dim light with its low light sensitivity. But
the front facing camera fitted on Liquid Z5 is a VGA one.
Major attraction of
the Acer Liquid Z5 is its ‘Rapid’ button which arranges on the extreme backside
of the handset. By pressing the Rapid button one can unlock the device and on
the second pressing it will lead you to the current app which is running on the
device. A long press will activate the camera app also. The device also
preinstalled with a lot of customized features which will give a brief outline
of the entire Android software for the beginners, whom Acer is targeting with
the Liquid Z5.
The device also
possesses connectivity features like WiFi, integrated GPS, Bluetooth, GPRS etc.
The device comes in a slim design with rounded edges and is available in White
or Grey colour. Acer also launched a wide variety of optional accessories to
choose for the buyers of Liquid Z5. Acer packed the Liquid Z5 with a 2,000mAh
battery. Initially Acer will launch the Liquid Z5 in selected countries at a
price of $230 and Acer did not mentioned any hint about the availability of the
device in other countries.
