BlackBerry Launched 5 Inch Smartphone in India for Rs. 39,990

One of the big player in the world smartphone market, BlackBerry has launched a high end flagship model in India. The Z30 which carries the latest version of its operating system 10.2 is now available in India for Rs. 39,990. The Canadian smartphone manufacturer believes that this costly device will bring them back to the top positions as they are facing serious threat in the markets from other Android rivals. The Z30 is marked its price around Rs. 40K but BlackBerry is planning to introduce more models around Rs.6000 in the recent future.

The BlackBerry Z30 features a 5inch wide Super AMOLED display and powered by a 1.7 GHz quad core processor. BlackBerry offers 2GB RAM and the 16GB internal memory which can be expanded upto 64GB with the help of a microSD card. The Z30 comes with dual cameras, the main rear camera is a 8MP one and also a 2MP front facing camera for video calling functions.
The entire machine is backed up with a powerful 2,880 mAh battery and BlackBerry claims it will provide a talk time of 25 hours.

Sunil Lawani who is the Managing director of BlackBerry India commented that they are targeting the Indian urban youth with the Z30 who likes to have a bigger screen with increased power and battery backup also under the prestigious BlackBerry banner. He further added that the latest 10.2 version will add more refinement to communication as the BBM script now support ‘Hinglish’ texts.

Inorder to acquire the device of Rs. 39,990 BlackBerry offers a 12 month EMI option to the customers. BlackBerry reveals that they have originally priced the device at Rs. 44,990 but to welcome the Diwali festive season they have launched the handset at a lower price.
