Nokia has launched a
new medium ranged feature phone in the Asha series in India. The Asha 502 is
available at a price of Rs. 5,739 from the Nokia online store. The Asha 502 is
based on Nokia Asha platform 1.1 and supports firmware over-the-air (FOTA) update.
The new handset comes in a candy bar style design with a comfortable
polycarbonate body.
The new Nokia Asha 502
features a 3 inch LCD display (QVGA) which gives a picture resolution of
240X320 pixels. The Asha 502 is a dual SIM (GSM+GSM) handset with dual standby
feature. SIM card support for Asha 502 is micro SIM only and it does not supports
regular SIM cards. This new handset comes with a RAM of 64MB and it supports
external memory cards up to 32 GB. The device comes with Nokia Easy Swap
technology and is preinstalled with Fastlane app also. Connectivity options of
Asha 502 includes WiFi, EDGE, Bluetooth 3.0 and Micro USB port
Dimension of the new
handset comes to 99.6X59.5X11.1 mm and it has a weight of 100g only. The Nokia
Asha 502 boasts a 5MP rear camera with LED flash. There is no secondary camera
available in the device and Nokia claims that it has updated the interface for
Asha 502 and it supports one-swipe access for camera app and one-touch sharing
feature on WhatsApp. The device is packed with a battery of 1010mAh which
delivers 480 hours of standby time a talk time of 14 hours.
