The new flash drives
supports well with the Ice Cream Sandwich and Jelly Bean versions of Android
operating system and also offer on-the-go (OTG) functions for USB. But these
devices will not support Android 4.4 KitKat, the latest version of Android but Sony
is working on it to make it compatible with the KitKat version also.
One can use these
2-in-1 flash drives as an additional storage device to expand the storage
capacity of the smartohone along with copying data between devices. The drive
is protected by a locking cap from damages due to dust and debris. The drive is
made up of metal body which Sony claims that it will lasts for long even though
of its daily usage.
The new flash drives
are available in 8, 16 and 32 GB memory capacities at a price of $19.99, $29.99
and $62.99 respectively. It will not be available in Indian markets initially
and Sony will launch this new device in selected global markets in January
2014.
