Mercedes Benz has
launched a new model of its widely accepted sedan model ‘C Class’ in India. The
‘Celebration Edition’ of C Class is parked at showrooms bearing a price tag of
Rs. 39.16 lakh. Mercedes Benz launched this model in India to tribute the brand’s
most successful model C Class which was sold over 10 million units across
global markets.
The C Class is powered
by the popular C 220 CDI which is a 4 cylinder diesel engine with 7G Tronic
plus dual clutch automatic transmission. It is capable to deliver 170PS of
power and a torque of 400Nm. The notable changes in the Celebration Edition are
AMG kitting which contains modified bumpers, side skirts, smoked lamps and new
alloy wheels. These changes brought the entire unit a facelift look and feel
from the normal C Class and it highly resembles the design of C63. The ‘Edition
C’ embossing on the front panel is also a new thing. The new alloy wheels have
five spokes and 17 inches.
When look into the
interior part, seatings gets a Alcantara and leather finish with blue stitching
which generates a contrast style. Benz has given the dashboard more sportier
look with silver inserts rather than wooden finishing which is much common now.
Full colour LED display and navigation system is also comes as a part of the
standard model.
