Honda Motors has almost set to unveil the fourth generation of popular car model “City”. Honda renovated and upgraded this popular car model in a regular interval of six years from the initial launching at 1996. After going through the upgraded models in year 1996, 2002 and 2008, Honda will unveil their revamped City in January 2014.

Honda will launch the City 2014 in both petrol and diesel versions. Honda offers, both the variants will perform ARAI fuel economy standards. In the petrol class there is no difference in power from the previous version’s engine and Honda claims that one can experience an improved performance with it. Further the engine friction is also reduced with the help of low tension oil seals and the piston pattern has also changed to a zigzag level. With all these improvements the new City will deliver better power and torque. The diesel variant of Honda City will comes with a five speed manual gear unit while the petrol class will have both manual and automatic (CVT) transmission. In both kinds of vehicles the clutch holding is reduced to its maximum level to make it suitable for city rides.

Honda carries out a lot of changes in regard to the design to bring a fresh appeal to the new edition of City in the outside markings of the body as well as the front grill and other body parts. But Honda did not disturb the dimensions of body or wheelbases and tyre sizes. When getting into inside of the vehicle it is almost different from the previous version and one can find freshness in almost all parts of the interior of the new unit. Dashboard finishing, new style clocks, new touchscreen access for stereo and air regulators will give the users a new approach of comfort.

Honda loaded the new City with a number of additional features and some of them may be little changes but in turn gives the passengers a good deal of comfort and convenience. For the backseat travelers, armrests and air conditioner vents have been introduced. The backdoors has been arranged with a bottle holder which adds better convenience. The audio system is upgraded with Bluetooth connectivity. Other value added features includes new functions and details in the instrument cluster, a sunroof is also added, rear parking camera, keyless push button start, electric ORVMS. On the safety edge Honda brings ABS system and dual airbags for driver and front passenger seats.

Since Honda has not made any expansions on the dimensions side of City’s platform its measures are still stands on 4440mm in length and 1695mm in width. But in the new version the wheelbase is increased by 50mm and Honda claims that the new City will be the most spacious car its class.
