World’s leading
communication devices manufacturer Motorola, now aims at emerging markets and
budget conscious users and produces low cost smartphones to cater this market
segment. Motorola recently launched a medium ranged Android smartphone Moto G
which carries latest Android versions, processors and advanced displays which
can be seen in the high end models of other brands. Google owns Motorola and
thus it helps the company to correlate all the latest developments in its
products including new versions of the Android operating system and all these
available at a lower price.
The new Moto G
succeeds in making waves in the overseas markets which is yet to available in
Indian markets. Motorola confirmed that they will launch the device in the
subcontinent by January 2014.
The Motorola Moto G
features a 4.5 inch HD capacitive touch screen display with Corning Gorilla
Glass 3 protection and gives a pixel resolution of 1280X720 pixels and a pixel
density of 329 ppi. It is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor and a
1.2 GHz quad core CPU. The Moto G operates on Android 4.3 Jelly Bean operating
system which can be upgraded to Android 4.4 KitKat in the beginning of 2014. It
comes with 1GB RAM and a standard internal storage capacity option of 8GB but
an advanced of 16GB is also available. Google also offers 50GB free storage on
Google Drive for two years.
The Moto G boasts a
5MP rear camera with LED flash and 4X digital zoom and it also has a 1.3MP
front facing camera. It is packed with a 2070 lithium power cell which has an
in-built model. It is a low weight model as it possess 12.9 mm height, 65.9 mm
width, depth 6.0 mm and a weight of 143g.
The Motorola Moto G
comes with a curved back design and several customization features including
changeable Motorola Shells and Flip covers in seven different colours and Grip
Shells. One can make the customization through the removable back panel.
Motorola does not revealed the price of Moto G but is expected that it will
available for a price under Rs. 15,000.
