Acer has launched a
new notebook computer in Indian markets called Acer C720 Chromebook. It is an
11.6 inch notebook which uses Chrome OS as its operating system. The Acer C720
Chromebook features an 11.6 inch wide display which gives a resolution of
1366X768 pixels and a brightness level of 220 nits. The display is made with
anti glare screen which also provides better level of colour, brightness and
contrast for videos and images.
The Acer C720
Chromebook comes with 16GB internal storage of which almost 10GB will be
available for user data. It is powered by Intel Celeron 2955U 1.4GHz dual core
processor based on Intel Haswell architecture. It is paired with a 2GB RAM. The
Acer C720 Chromebook runs on Google’s Chrome OS based on Linux. The Acer
Chromebook also comes with a webcam of 720 pixels which is fixed on the upper
lid and gives better performance as well.
It requires only less
than 7 seconds for booting up the system and Acer claims that it will function
without any lagging while browsing the net while simultaneously playing HTML5
games and online videos. Google offers 100GB of free space of cloud storage in
Google Drive for two years. Other services available include access to Google’s
online office suite with Google Docs, sheets and slides. The Acer Chromebook
also extends its services to Google Play Music, Google Play Movies and Google
Play Books. The Acer C720 Chromebook is
also equipped with a card reader slot, 3.5mm headphone jack, USB 3.0 port, a
HDMI port and a charging port. Acer claims that it will last for 8.5 hours of
battery backup on a single charge.
Acer offers this new
C720 Chrombook for a price of $199 and is available at Best Buy and Amazon for
purchase will be reaching at Acer stores in December.
